So I dug through my drawers and files and found a couple more of my old sketches I thought may be worthwhile to share. These are from my first two year at University, so 2004-05ish. All done with pencils, usually in an A4 sized block.
The creative souls of the River Styx have been hard at work creating amazing artwork which can now be found around the site. We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce some of the *artists* and their recently created *artwork*!
My interpretation and tribute to the “The Last Ronin”;
the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic from the original artists Kevin Eastman and David Laird! It’s the far future…only one turtle remains. Can you guess who it is?
Pulled out my old box of treasures and took some new photos of the content of my old sketchbooks after some heavy nostalgia hit. These drawings are from my time at University in Lincoln and include various formats including A5, A4, A3 and cutouts on various grades and weight of paper. I mostly used pencils, sharpies, colored pencils and markers.
For this first edition we’ve got some card backgrounds (transparency) for your perusal in web and graphic design! Now with #NFTs being all the rage, perhaps you can find some use for these. These #templates are free to use and don’t need to be credited.
All souls that sign up to the River Styx start out with a “Spark” adaptable companion,
which may then change and grow in interesting ways depending on the path you take along the stream.
A small exercise in whimsy today! For my card project I am experimenting with animation and gif optimisation techniques so I thought I’d try and animate a sequence of watercolour panels of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
