While the rumours of chemicals may not be true....legend told of a stagnant pool that sat at the end of a wayward branch of the river.

This pool had become a source of corruption that slowly crept into the flow of the river. Apparently the ancients had some method of controlling it. However both the method and the place nor the nature of the corruption seem to have been lost to the sands of time...at least no soul has found the stagnant pool in a very long time. (Future feature)
