Cardano is a blockchain project developed and founded by Charles Hoskinson in 2015. The project is overseen by the Cardano Foundation based in Zug, Switzerland. The Cardano blockchain is built for scientists, engineers and is a research-driven project. The blockchain is completely decentralized while using proof of stake.
Cardano offers peer-to-peer transaction with their native cryptocurrency Ada. Anyone holding ada is automatically a stakeholder in the Cardano network. Cardano also offers two of their own wallets, Daedalus and Yoroi. Holding ada on these wallets allows the user to delegate them to stake pools which garner rewards.
